Announcement:

Junior Auxiliary of McMinnville has voted to NOT hold the Junior Miss Warren County and Junior Auxiliary Princess Pageants in 2011.

****

The past 15 years of pageants have been wonderful and we've had the opportunity to meet many amazing young women through this fundraiser, so the decision to suspend the pageants was not made lightly.

****

The more than 11 service projects JA performs during the year are supported by two other fundraisers: The Crown Jewels Art Gala and Christmas Luminaries. We plan to use this opportunity to turn our focus on the two existing fundraisers to raise much needed money for our service in 2011 and into 2012.

Title holders for the 2010 pageants include (above left to right) Junior Miss Katie Haggard and Junior Auxiliary Princess Alyssa Ledbetter, and Junior Auxiliary Little Sister Blair Fisher. The three girls will continue to hold those titles until the pageants are picked up again. We couldn’t have three better girls to leave with these titles for an extended time. They have been wonderful representatives of JA during the past year and will continue to support the club’s efforts in the community as long as they continue to hold their titles.

****

Stay tuned to the JA Facebook and blog for information about the future of the pageants. Feel free to email jamcminnville@yahoo.com for more information.

Congratulations!

We are very excited that our very own Junior Miss Warren County, Laura Caroline Carter, competed in and won the 2009 Fairest of the Fair Pageant at the Warren County Agriculture and Livestock Fair!
She did a wonderful job in the pageant. She was graceful, beautiful and she totally kicked butt on her top five question! Congratulations Caroline (and thanks for letting me borrow some of these photos)!
Here Caroline is after being crowned by Victoria Woods, 2008 Warren County Fairest of the Fair and 2009 State Fairest of the Fair!
Here is Caroline posing with the Fairest of the Fair Emcee, Miss Emily Hobbs (who just so happens to be a past Junior Miss Warren County).
Here she is with her court - left to right; Megan Boren 1st runner up, Caroline, Victoria, Caitlin McClain 2nd runner up and KayAnn Moore 3rd runner up.
Caitlin just happens to be a former Junior Miss Warren County too. She did an awesome job as well and we love that we had not one, but two Junior Misses represented in the Fairest of the Fair court.
All of the girls did wonderful in the pageant but we're especially proud of all of "our" girls that participated! Congratulations ladies!

Happy 200th Warren County!

All four of our princesses were in the Bicentennial Parade on Saturday.
Junior Miss Warren County Caitlin McClain, J.A. Little Sister Merissa Chapman, Miss Snow Princess Madison Taylor, and Little Miss Snow Princess Elena Holder all rode in a couple of really cool convertibles - they threw candy to the kids, waved to the crowds and charmed everyone.

President Natalie Miller and Vice President Brooke Totherow also rode along in the passenger seats of the cars making it a complete J.A. event!
Thanks to Jodi McAbee and Jeff Vance for lending us their vehicles to use in the parade.
A BIG thank you goes out also to Seth Wright with the Southern Standard for making the lovely signs for the sides of the convertibles! They really made us 'pop'!
The parade was a lot of fun...here are some pictures from the day:
I loved the sheep and the Australian shepherd! They were popular with the whole crowd!

After the parade we found a Junior Miss fan in the crowd...none other than our very own Jackie Matheney!

J.A. visits Fairview Community

I was recently asked to represent Junior Auxiliary as a judge for Fairview Community's Summer/4th of July Celebration and was asked to suggest a couple of other ladies to help me out. Our Junior Miss Warren County, Caitlin McClain, volunteered to come and so did our Parliamentarian Chair M.A. Higgs. Member Leanne Grissom is a member of Fairview's C.I.C. and she was there to help out with the pageant as well...she was actually one of the pageant's organizers and she did such a great job!

The weather was great...kind of warm, but the pageants were held inside of the community center's air conditioned auditorium...what more could we have asked? All of the kids were ADORABLE and emcee Randy England was really really funny!

Thanks so much to Fairview C.I.C. for inviting us to help out, we really had a good time!
